Satsuki means fifth month, and, of course, most varieties are late blooming (May-June). Within this late bloom, however, there is a season for which the following code is used:
E—Early (March-April); M—Mid-season (Mid April-May); L—Late (Mid May-June); VL—Very Late (Mid June-July)
